Software Carpentry Workshop
Monday 1/14 and Tuesday 1/15 8:30am-4:30pm. Discovery Building.
Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. Register here.

Data Carpentry Workshop
Wednesday 1/16 and Thursday 1/17 8:30am-4:30pm. Discovery Building.
This hands-on workshop teaches basic concepts, skills and tools for working more effectively with data. The workshop is for any researcher who has data they want to analyze, and no prior computational experience is required. Register here.
