Chicago Women in STEM Symposium
Friday 3/8 11:00am-5:30pm. Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital, 250 East Superior Street, Chicago, IL.
After decades of social progress towards equality, women are still under-represented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), particularly at advanced career stages and in leadership. The half-day symposium will commence with an interactive implicit bias workshop, followed by lunch and a concurrent info booth session. Dr. Eve Fine from UW–Madison’s Women in Science & Engineering Leadership Institute will deliver the keynote address on implicit bias and developing counter-strategies. Cost: $25. Register here.
