Third Thursday Social Hour
Thursday 3/21 5:30pm-7:30pm. Paul’s Club, 204 State Street.
Third Thursday Social Hour will continue in March. Join us for conversations, drinks, and food. If you’ve ever been interested in consulting or careers outside academia, members of WiSolve will be there to answer your questions as well. Check back on the Postdoc Bulletin, our website, Facebook, or Twitter for more information or to ask questions.

Open Position: UWPA Diversity and Inclusion Chair
The UWPA Diversity and Inclusion Committee is seeking a postdoc interested in chairing the committee and helping to organize professional development and networking events with a focus on people traditionally underrepresented in academia, including women, the LGBTQ community, and people from racial or ethnic minority groups. This is an excellent chance to network, and build leadership skills for your future career, in addition to promoting underrepresented groups. More information here or contact Daniel Radecki (dradecki@wisc.edu).

Help Put Mentoring at the Heart of Academia: UW–Madison Satellite Meeting Organizing Committee
In June 2019, Future of Research (FoR), the advocacy group for early career scientists, will host a national meeting in Chicago to: 1) highlight and support the ideas and experiments currently underway to implement positive mentoring practices in academia and 2) design a plan to shift academic culture towards a central focus on mentoring. This meeting will be live-streamed to satellite locations across the country that will contribute ideas to the discussion. The UW–Madison Postdoctoral Association is seeking postdocs to join an organizing committee for the UW–Madison satellite meeting. This is an excellent opportunity to build your leadership credentials and network across campus. Those interested should email Daniel Radecki (dradecki@wisc.edu) for more information or to volunteer.
